The Meaning of Life

For the time being we are expending our energies elsewhere, developing a site dedicated to the ideas of Albert Camus, that great philosopher of the Absurd. He argued that life is essentially meaningless. We beg to disagreed, so we are spending some time now clarifying our critique of Albert Camus' philosophy of the Absurd over at islifeabsurd.wordpress.com

If you have already worked out an answer to the question of the meaning of life, please drop by and let us know what it is. It would be nice if you could save us the trouble of having to find it out for ourselves the hard way.

Perhaps there isn't at the moment - at least not for those of us who are sitting alone on our balconies looking down at the people going to and fro in the street below, and wondering what the fuck is going on. But perhaps there could be a meaning, but only if we affirm it together - only if we leave our balconies (both real and virtual) and come together and meet in some new stoa of hopefulness.
